Look here, you will know the difference between inorganic zinc-rich primer and epoxy zinc-rich primer!
01-10
With the use of zinc-rich primers, there are more and more zinc-rich primers on the market. For example, there are always many doubts about the difference between common epoxy zinc-rich primers and inorganic zinc-rich primers. Which paint is better? Below, Sanhui Paint Industry will tell you about the difference and application of the two.
First, Sanhui Paint Industry will take you to understand the difference between epoxy zinc-rich primer and inorganic zinc-rich primer: 1. The paint film toughness of epoxy zinc-rich primer is better and easier to apply, while inorganic zinc-rich primer is easier to crack than it. 2. Inorganic zinc-rich primer has higher requirements for the treatment of the base layer, and it needs to be fully leveled and polished, but it can be used directly without applying topcoat; while epoxy zinc-rich primer has no requirements for the base layer, but it needs to be treated with epoxy intermediate paint before applying. 3. Inorganic zinc-rich paint is superior to epoxy zinc-rich paint in heat resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance and static electricity conductivity, but the flexibility and construction performance of the paint film are poor. Inorganic zinc-rich paint has some special requirements during construction, such as its curing depends on high relative humidity, and the surface porosity requires spraying technology, while the construction requirements of epoxy zinc-rich paint are much simpler. Epoxy zinc-rich primer must be mixed with weather-resistant materials.
